The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership offers a variety of career options for those interested in teaching. Certification pathways include elementary grades PK-3 and 1-5, middle school grades 4-8, and secondary grades 6-12.  Faculty members are nationally known for publications, research, presentations, and exemplifying best practices in teaching and learning. All teacher education programs have been approved by the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Board of Regents, and NCATE. Faculty are interested in knowing their advisees and in providing quality counseling as needed for all teacher education candidates.
