Graduate Student Information
The University is located in Ruston, Louisiana, a city of about 20,000
people. Ruston is in north central Louisiana on Interstate 20 between
Shreveport (pop. 200,000) and Monroe (pop. 100,000). Within the city are
excellent recreational and cultural opportunities, and Dallas and New
Orleans are within driving distance.
Louisiana Tech has over 10,000 students, with about 1500 undergraduates
and 300 graduate students enrolled in engineering programs.
Appproximately 50 percent of the graduate students are from southern
universities and colleges, and the remainder hail from other locations
throughout the United States and the world.
