MICROELECTRONICS PROGRAM
The Microelectronics Program is associated with the Electrical
Engineering Program at Louisiana Tech University. It provides for
undergraduate and graduate level studies in microelectronics,
including at master's and doctoral levels. The program is supported
by a series of courses and research projects, with emphasis on
Ultra Large Scale Integration (ULSI) microelectronics.
The Electrical Engineering courses supporting the
Microelectronics Program include:
EE 334 -- Solid State Electronics
EE 437 -- Microfabrication Principles
EE 438 -- Microfacbrication
Applications and Computer-Aided Design
EE 533 -- Optoelectronics
EE 535 -- Advanced Topics in
Microelectronics
EE 537 -- Advanced Microfabrication with
Computer-Aided Design
EE 538 -- Advanced Microelectronic
Devices with Computer-Aided Design
A unique aspect of the Microelectronics Program consists of the
comprehensive instruction and training it provides in the use and
application of Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) in
microfabrication process development and microelectronic device
design. The instruction and training in TCAD is provided through a
series of courses and research projects supported by the TCAD Training and Research Laboratory.
