Biomedical Engineering / College

Louisiana Tech University is seeking
qualified applicants for immediate and anticipated tenure-track
positions in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis on
Neural Engineering, Rehabilitation Engineering, or BioMicroSystems.
Research activities will be carried out within
the Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation
Science (CyBERS), which is one of five research Centers of
Excellence on the Louisiana Tech campus. The others are the
Institute for Micromanufacturing, the Center for Applied
Physics Studies, the Center for Numerical Simulation and
Modeling, and the Trenchless Technology Center.
Cross-disciplinary research that includes
the other four centers, and the Louisiana State University or Veterans
Administration Medical Centers in nearby Shreveport, is strongly
encouraged. All ranks will be considered. Applicants must have a
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field. The
position requires excellent written and oral communications skills,
strong teaching skills, ability to build and sustain an externally
funded research program, ability to supervise masters and doctoral
students, and commitment to high quality professional service and
active participation in college responsibilities. Industrial and/or
clinical experience and professional registration are desirable,
but not required.
