Caruthers is a double occupancy residence hall. Its nine floors house approximately 600 male residents. Caruthers Hall is located near Neilson Hall on the northwest side of campus. The Intramural center, Sporting complex, and the natatorium are all in walking distance from Caruthers Hall.

Features include:

- 2 sets of community bathrooms on each floor
- vending machines
- a kitchen on each floor
- study room on each floor with a large lounge/lobby on the first floor
Each room in Caruthers contains these items:
- a twin size bed for each resident
- a desk for each resident
- a closet for each resident
- a chest of drawers for each resident
- one sink and mirror per room that is shared by each resident
- one cable and telephone connection per room
- ethernet connections
