Geography 290:
Geography of Popular Culture ·
9/10/02-The bookstore has run out of texts and may
not be able to get any restocked for several days. Please attend class so announcements regarding changes in the
reading schedule may be made. Until
additional texts arrive and the schedule can be reworked, I have place copies
of the Gill and Carney (Branson) article on reserve the library front
desk. You may also access these
articles electronically through the library’s e-reserve page (hopefully by
Thursday 9/12/02). The log-on and
password is techeres (for Tech E-Reserve).
For e-reserve you may need to have Adobe Acrobat installed on your
computer. I’d do this on the 10th
floor of Wiley. Click here for

NOTE *** In order to accommodate the
lack of textbooks, the course schedule has been changed. Note that the Goss and Graff readings have
been moved up to Friday the 20th and Monday the 23rd. Other changes follow. 9/25/02 ·
I’ve taken materials for the next two articles
that are in the course text to the library to be placed on reserve. They include the Tweedie and Francaviglia articles. They are the last two that I will have
scanned for you. Despite the failure
of the bookstores/publisher to come through for us, I think it is now your
responsibility to go find the text on-line.
I would check www.half.com or www.amazon.com for
good deals on books. If nothing else,
borrow a classmate’s book and copy the chapters you need. Click below to go to the library reserve
site. Remember techeres is the logon
and password for e reserves. Click here for
Prescott Library E-Reserves 10/21/02 · New Quizzes are on-line through the next week. 10/31/02: · Apparently the Hall article did not make it into your reading packet, so don’t read it. Instead read Shortridge’s article on the Place Defining Article. The lecture notes and the quiz for this reading have been linked and posted in their normal locations on the web.
