Careers and Jobs in Geography

Believe it or not, there are many good jobs and rewarding careers awaiting degree holders from geography.   Many of these jobs are in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).  These companies are not just map makers and environmental concerns. A diverse range of companies including McDonald's, Sears and BancOne employ geographers. Police departments, hospitals, utility companies, farmers, trucking companies and many others employ geographers as well. Even the National Basketball Association occasionally employs geographers. All-everything, superstar Michael Jordan holds a B.A. in Geography.
