V. Elaine Thompson

Assistant Professor of History

V. Elaine Thompson joined the Louisiana Tech University faculty in 2004, after receiving her PhD in history from Rice University. She is a specialist in Southern history, state and local history, and early American history. Dr Thompson also has experience in public, or applied history. Dr Thompson currently serves on the Library Committee, the Undergraduate Committee, the Behavioral Standards Committee, and the Instructional Policies Committtee. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Historical Association and sits on the National Advisory Board for Phi Alpha Theta.
