Phi Alpha Theta

Lambda-Rho wins again! LA Tech's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta has won the Best Chapter in the national competition in Division IV (enrollment between 10 and 15 thousand students) for 2011. Lambda-Rho Chapter is also once again recipient of the Nels A. Cleven Award for Division IV (enrollment 10,000-14,999).  As you may know, competition for the Cleven Award is limited to chapters that have won the Best Chapter Award five or more times.  This recognition for 2011 marks our twenty-fifth Best Chapter Award since 1980 and our seventh Cleven Award since its inception in 2004.

Congratulations to everyone involved and special thanks to 2010-2011 chapter president Ardala Wigman and to faculty advisor Elaine Thompson.

Chartered in 1966, Louisiana Tech University's Lambda-Rho Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, Inc., sponsors historical and social activities during the academic year. The chapter has an outstanding record of excellence. In Phi Alpha Theta's annual national competition for chapters, Lambda-Rho Chapter has received either "Best Chapter" or "Special Commendation" distinction every single year since 1978.
