Alcohol Policy of Theta-Psi Zeta

On November 2nd, 1992, Theta-Psi Zeta adopted a resolution that would forever change the
way the world would look at the chapter. Membership in the chapter was down and it was decided to take steps that would set our fraternity apart from the others on the campus. After doing research to test the idea, the members of the chapter decided to become a dry chapter.

At the time this resolution was adopted there were 8 active members. Within four months, the chapter had tripled in size. The resolution was well liked by the faculty and staff of Louisiana Tech and the people of the town of Ruston.

While our policy was not well liked by the other fraternities on campus, Theta-Psi has stood the test of going dry and remains a healthy chapter. We have proved that there is more to being in a fraternity than alcohol.
