Welcome to the NSBE La Tech Chapter website!!
My name is Shaney Jackson. I am serving as the 2007-2009 Chapter President. As we begin the 2008-2009 academic school year, we hope that you will join or prestigious organization and feel that same NSBE Luv that we feel every day. Here at Louisiana Tech, we focus on increasing the numbers of minority engineering graduates with a jump start on their careers. We give them the necessary tools needed to succeed in their quest in finding jobs and internships, through professional workshops, leadership training, tutoring, and field trips.
The Louisiana Tech Chapter is also filled with students from different disciplines other than engineering. With that being said, we also devote the same amount of energy towards our Collegiate Affiliate members to succeed in their respective fields.
We embody the mission statement to full capacity, which is, TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF CULTURALLY RESPONSIBLE BLACK ENGINEERS WHO EXCEL ACADMEICALLY, SUCCEED PROFESSIONALLY, AND POSITIVELY, and IMPACT THE COMMUNITY.
