With Quarter break upon us we have gotten a little further on Fab. We are pretty much on schedule, with the only slight hold up being that Dr. Tims wants the suspension team to do a few more calculations on their design before the final design is applied to the vehilcle.

2007 Mini Baja Fabrication

2007 Specs & Engineering

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!

Welcome to

You have just entered the Dawg Pit, home for the 2007 LA Tech mini Baja team. This years competition is in being held in Ocala, Florida, on April 12-15, 2007. Any member of SAE is allowed to come. Since this a senior design project, limited assistance is allowed on the vehicle, but any member who would lie to participate with fabrication is more than welcome to help. Any scheduled times to work on the car will be updated on this website, and by email if you are on the SAE mailing list.

If you are wondering just what is mini Baja, check out some of the pictures and videos from the 2003 Midwest Challenge held in Troy, Ohio.  All vehicles were powered by a ten-horsepower Intek Model 20 engine donated by Briggs & Stratton Corporation.

Each team’s goal is to design and build a prototype of a rugged, single seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale to the non-professional weekend off-road enthusiast. The vehicle must be safe, easily transported, easily maintained and fun to drive. It should be able to negotiate rough terrain and water challenges without damage. All details on rules and vehicle requirements can be found on the official SAE web page HERE
