The Department of Community Service is committed to serving the Ruston community. SGA members, along with members of Tech's Student Speakers Bureau, have been visiting local junior high and high school students to encourage these students to prepare for college in advance so they will qualify for the TOPS scholarship program. The Department of Community Service is also responsible for coordinating the "Big Event," an opportunity each spring for Tech students to help clean up the Ruston area and give back to the community that has given so much to us!
