That’s right, Santa Claus is coming to town.
Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 5 to 9 Santa will be right here at Louisiana Tech University in our Tonk, and he’s bringing lots of Christmas goodies with him! He has tons of FREE presents like Build-A-Bear,Initial This, Green Screen Quick Flip Books, and CampuSkins! Also, in true North Pole fashion, there’ll be a LEGIT ice skating rink FOR FREE, and some Christmas food, complete with turkey sandwiches and decorate your own gingerbread men! You can spend time taking pictures with Santa, playing around in our photo booth, getting a caricature down, or stuffing your stocking FULL of free candy. T-Shirts will be the only cost at the event, and believe us, you don’t wanna miss out on these. Dancing bulldogs in Santa hats? Yes, I think so. $10 for a long sleeve. AND FINALLY…. Ruston’s own Heavens to Betsy will provide Christmas music during the event. Heavens to Betsy? Really? LUCKY YOU. Don’t be a Grinch. Be there. Or clearly your heart is ten sizes too small. |

On Thursday, November 10, Union Board will bring you the Miss Tech Pageant, where we will crown the 2012 Miss Tech! Get out of your dorm room and come meet the lovely young ladies who are vying for the chance to represent Louisiana Tech University.
Get some friends together, dress a little fancy, and consider it a way to escape from your stress for a little bit. Sit back and enjoy the girls dancing and singing their way into the heart of the university.
Don’t be lame. Be there.

You know what would make Homecoming week even more awesome? A STELLAR Fall Concert brought to you by Union Board. After voting, painting the town, making floats, and so much more, take a break on Thursday night to relax and hear NeedToBreathe! The band has been on tour all over the place opening up for T. Swift, and on Thursday, October 27, 2011, they will FINALLY be here in Ruston, Louisiana at Memorial Gymnasium. Trust me, this is the one homecoming event you cannot miss.
What’s the best part? For students, it’s COMPLETELY FREE as long as you have a valid Tech ID. For non-students, it’s only $15! Tickets will be available at a later date, so make sure you “like” our facebook page, follow us on twitter at latechub, and check our website on the daily. With limited seats available, you DON’T wanna miss out.

Red Out
Sport your red shirts and meet UB out in Hideaway Park for the best tailgating experience of the quarter! Saturday, October 1, beginning at 1 pm, we will be out at Hideaway with jambalaya, sno cones, human bowling, a human gyroscope, misters, and rally rags FOR FREE! This is a pregame event that you can’t afford to miss.
If all that free stuff still isn’t enough, it gets even better. From 2-4 pm the hit Louisiana band Meriwether will take the stage to help us rock out our Red Out.
