It’s that time of the quarter again, and you know it. Finals week is coming up. More stress, more late night studying, more headaches. So before we actually get there, join us this Tuesday, Feb 19th, 2008, at 7pm in the TONK for a treat of Java City coffee and free, delicious cookies. Also accompanying the sugar intake is Tad Dreis, a talented singer, song-writer from North Carolina. So don’t miss out; come with friends and hang out before all the cramming kicks in.

It’s here. The famous take-it-all trivia game ThinkFast has made it round back to Louisiana Tech campus. This Tuesday, December 18th, 2007 @ 7pm (that’s tomorrow as of this post!), the show will be on right in the Tonk (back of student center, in case you’re one of those freshzmen). Bring your friends, lotta cash involves for winner. More info after the jump.Teams of 4-6 will answer pop culture trivia questions as fast as they can…sounds easy, but it’s a tricky-tricky when there are up to 250 teams competing against you! That’s 250, no typo there.

The top scoring teams then go on stage and compete head-to-head to determine the ultimate winner. Your prize? $500! And if you don’t think you can win, come anyway, free cookies, drinks, and entertainment will be presented!!!

A night of beauty, intelligence, talent, and poise. This Thursday, Dec 6th, 2007, Union Board proudly present to you ten young, glamorous women as they compete for the title of Miss Louisiana Tech 2008. The night’s performance will be staged in the Howard Auditorium at 7pm with entertainment from the Bulldogs Step Team and our very own Regal Blue ladies.

This year contestants: Jenny Russell, Kelsey Leake, Nicole Fairburn, Laurion Morris, Lacy Thibodeaux, Nancy Hedgemon, Amy Hill, Savanna Pace, Brenda Lepenski, and Victoria Garcia.

Tech’s Got Talent! (a.k.a Yeah We Do!)

No, you read that right. That’s “Tech’s Got Talent!” It’s our annual Union Board Talent Show for Homecoming , and it’s going down right here in the Tonk at LA Tech, 7pm this Tuesday, October 9, 2007.There will be contestants, there will be judges, and there will be $1500 in prize for grab. $1500. The production is supervised by our own Paul King and Lauren Brown, two veterans of the board. It is said this year Talent Show will be the classiest event of the year thus far, so don’t miss out!
