Woohoo! Spring is finally here! More sun light, more activities! Union Board is all game for your entertainment this quarter. Starting next Tuesday, March 17, 2009, we’re having a poetry night with “Abyss and John Goode.” More details about the event will be up soon.

Also, as a “major” note, and you probably already know. Spring is one of the quarter in which Union Board will be taking new members. If you want to be a part of an awesome organization at Louisiana Tech University, be on the look out for the application process info which is soon to be released. The online application is available now! [updated] ~~will be available online starting tomorrow~~, Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 0:01AM. If you’re a pen-paper-and-type, we also have physical copies of the applications in Tolliver. Cheers, and good luck to all!

Yo yo, welcome back to an exciting Fall 08-09 quarter everybody, from the new freshmen to the seasonal seniors, and anybody in between. We love you here at Tech. No really, we do. That’s why Union Board has been working so hard to put up all these upcoming events to cater your mind and body. And by body, I meant food. Yes, nothing beats free food on college campus, you know that, we know that (note to freshmen: you’ll learn soon enough). Thus, that’s exactly what’s gonna happen this coming Monday (tomorrow as of this post).

Our annual Union Board Welcome Back, as you heard, has been moved from last Thursday to this Monday, Sept 08, 2008. We will start serving food and playing very loud music out in the Centennial Plaza from 10am-2pm, so you can’t miss it once you get on campus. Heck, you’ll hear about it once you get in your car and tune in 89.1FM KLPI. So, come out and join us when you get outta class. Bring a few friends, tell them to bring some more friends, and tell their friends to call people up and force some more to come. Yes, we’ll have enough food and drinks for y’all. And it’s all *echo* FREE! *echo*

Like Brad Pitt? Ocean’s 13 Is Here! (a.k.a new members interview list)

That’s right, after all the rock-climbing and bull riding last week, we just wanted to slow you down and chill you out a bit. That’s why this Tuesday, Sept 25th, at 7PM we’re having Ocean’s 13 being showed in the Planetarium. So put it on the calendar and bring some friends with you to this blockbuster movie. Who knows, maybe even Brad Pitt will show up for a Tech-first premiere (Ok, that last bit was not true, but you wished it had been right?!).

Also, congratulation to all who made the new member interview list. If you haven’t found out yet, make sure you stop by the office to check for you name. To those who made it, please make sure to sign up for an interview and be on time (tip: dress professionally).

If you still don’t have one of those unique Union Board T-Shirt you see on your friends, stop by the office, and we will put some cover on you for $5/each.

Link To Membership Application Not Working?

If you’re linking to the Membership Application from the email sent out by Tech, you may get a link with an extra character thus point to a non-existent page. This problem is a glitch from the computing center and was reported.

Solution: when being redirected to a non-existent page, you can simply get the right link from the top right hand column of the page, or follow this direct link to application.
