1. The DUNS Number

Any business applying for federal grant funds must have a DUNS number.  This is a nine-digit identification number, which uniquely identifies business entities.  To obtain a DUNS number call (866) 705-5711 between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm (your local time).

You will need to know:

1. The business’s legal name, and any other name by which your business is known or recognized
2. The business’s physical address, mailing address, and phone number
3. Contact name and title
4. Number of employees
