- Pedometer Chart (this is a Word Document) - Use this chart to keep track of the number of steps that you take each day. 2000 steps = 1 mile. To lose weight you should try for 10,000 steps a day.

MedlinePlus brings together authoritative information from the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other government agencies and health-related organizations. MedlinePlus also has extensive information about drugs, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, interactive patient tutorials, and latest health news.

- Louisiana Department of Insurance - Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) website. SHIIP is a program to provide counseling and assistance to seniors who need health insurance information. SHIIP volunteer counselors provide counseling, free of charge, on a variety of topics regarding health insurance, including:

- Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals LaCHIP Program - Free health insurance for children under age 19 who are uninsured.

- Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals Long Term Care Program. Louisiana's Medicaid Program provides payment for special long term care support services, as well as full Medicaid health coverage, to eligible people who, because of their medical condition, require assistance with activities of daily living (for example, eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring). Long term care supports may be provided either in a facility or in an individual's own home or in the community.
