Services: Head Start (See Education/Infants/Social Services category) Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) - (318) 255-2215 The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program provides services to adults 55 years of age and over who are residents of Lincoln Parish. The program attempts to provide a more meaningful life in retirement through volunteer services that are responsive to community needs. Volunteers are recruited and placed in volunteer assignments through the RSVP project. Volunteers serve in the following areas: Helping combat adult illiteracy Nursing Homes Community Centers Other areas Green Thumb The Green Thumb Program provides part-time employment for low-income persons over the age of 55. Workers hired under the program work an average of 20 hours a week at minimum wage. Fees: None |
