EMERGENCY OR CRISIS ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)

Purpose: Trained volunteers appointed to speak for abused and neglected children in court and follow their care through the court system.

Christian Community Action

Purpose: Offers emergency services; food, clothing, utility assistance, lodging, transportation, etc.

 

DART (Domestic Abuse Resistance Team)

Purpose: offers services to victims of domestic violence; shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, support, etc.

Humanitarian Enterprises of Lincoln Parish (H.E.L.P. Agency)

Purpose: Provides assistance including: public transportation, emergency shelter for homeless, aid to victims of house fires, utility payment assistance, a food bank, and a referral service.

Life Choices

Purpose: Helps women through the crisis of an unplanned pregnancy (free pregnancy tests, counseling, provides alternatives to abortion, and parenting classes)

 

Lincoln Parish Office of Family Support

Purpose: Provides economic and self-sufficiency support through the Food Stamp Program, FITAP, FIND Work, Child Care Assistance Program, etc.

 

Ruston Addictive Disorders Clinic

Purpose: Provides substance abuse treatment, counseling (individual, group, family), educational services, referral to inpatient treatment programs or other needed services, urine screenings, medical support, public outreach.

 

Ruston Mental Health Center

Purpose: Provides mental health services and support (evaluation, treatment, referral) for both children and adults.

 

Volunteers of America

Purpose: Offers free counseling and support services to anyone with an unplanned pregnancy, provides alternatives to abortion.
