SOCIAL SERVICES

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)

Purpose: Trained volunteers appointed to speak for abused and neglected children in court and follow their care through the court system.


DART (Domestic Abuse Resistance Team)

Purpose: Offers services to victims of domestic violence and their families including: emergency shelter, support, and counseling.

 

Humanitarian Enterprises of Lincoln Parish (H.E.L.P. Agency)

Purpose: Provides assistance including: public transportation, emergency shelter for homeless, aid to victims of house fires, utility payment assistance, a food bank, and a referral service.

 

Lincoln Parish GIFT Program

Purpose: A home visitation program providing prenatal, postnatal, and child development education for first-time parents.

 

Lincoln Parish Office of Family Support

Purpose: Provides economic and self-sufficiency support through federal and state programs such as the Food Stamp Program, FITAP, FIND Work, Child Care Assistance Program, and others.

 

USDA Rural Development

Purpose: Makes loans and grants to buy, build and repair homes in order to provide rural residents with decent, safe, and sanitary homes.
