Resources and Publications
One of the main roles of the Center for
Rural Development is to serve as a source of information about rural
development issues relevant to rural communities in Louisiana. To
this end, the Center:
- Offers an annual conference on rural development in the Spring
- Assists in other workshops and trainings in the region
- Publishes a semi-quarterly informational newsletter Rural Louisiana which is available electronically
- Publishes in other newsletters.
We are also developing other outreach materials, as needed. In 2005, Center for Rural Development issued its 1st Agriculture Resource Guide for Farmers and Consumers in North Louisiana.
