The A.R.K. (Animal Resource Kit) Project for Lincoln Parish provides needed information to citizens evacuating to Lincoln Parish with their pets. This project utilizes Louisiana Tech University students through service learning projects to compile information for pet owners. This information includes shelter and boarding facilities for animals, and the location of feed stores, as well as information on hotels, RV hook-ups, and restaurants for the animals owners. These documents will be available online, and include links to other useful resources such as veterinarian offices, LSART (Louisiana State Animal Response Team), and other animal-related emergency response websites.
