You to be at the Authentic Bonnie & Clyde Festival in Gibsland, Louisiana on May 23 and 24, 2003. The committee for the Authentic Bonnie & Clyde Festival invites you to be present this year. The vendors begin setting up for the festival on Friday afternoon. Friday night, hear live gospel music from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Inside the Town Hall you may enjoy gumbo, jambalaya and red beans with rice while the Lorraine Joyner Historians meet. During this meeting there will be speakers, videos and open discussion on the life and times of Bonnie and Clyde. Admission is $5.00 per person. At 8:00 P.M. there will be a street dance with a live D.J. All styles of food will be available both days.
Saturday events consist of arts and crafts, visits inside the Bonnie and Clyde Museum. Souvenirs and tee shirts can be purchased, live entertainment by Joan Atwell of Spearsville, La, carnival rides for the young at heart, cake walks, Boots Hinton and Ken Holmes' Bonnie and Clyde Movie Car Show & Exhibit, E.J. Colvin cloggers, the Authentic Bonnie & Clyde Festival parade at 12:00 noon, lawmen and outlaws gun exhibit and memorabilia, story telling and many more activities.
For your excitement there will be two reenactment of shoot outs and bank robberies downtown performed by the famous Reenactments E.T.C. of Denison, Texas. Late afternoon see the reenactment of the ambush at the death site. the committee hopes to see you there to enjoy this two day event held in Gibsland, LA.
