Mission Statement
The
mission
of
the
Lincoln
Council
on
Aging
is
to
provide
a
broad
range
of
programs
and
services
which
improve
the
quality
of
life
for
older
and
at-risk
senior
citizens
and
enables
them
to
live
independently
with
dignity
in
the
least
restrictive
environment.
Services
and
recreational
activities
sponsored
by
the
Lincoln
Council
on
Aging
are
available
to
all
seniors.
Lincoln
Council
on
Aging
strives
to
continually
improve
programs
and
services
to
meet
the
needs
of
senior
adults.
History
The Council on Aging is issued a charter by the secretary of state and the applications are approved by the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs. The Council on Aging shall collect facts and statistics and make special studies of conditions pertaining to the employment, financial status, recreation, social adjustments, mental and physical health or other conditions affecting the welfare of aging people in the parish.
Activities
and
services
of the
Lincoln
Council
on
Aging
are
open
to all
senior
citizens
of
Lincoln
Parish
without
regard
to
race,
color
or
national
origin.
There
is no
distinction
in the
treatment
of
recipients
and
rules
of
courtesy
are
applied
uniformly
to
all.
