Nelly

"Sweat"

Universal Records

Grade: B

Nelly thought he would be twice as nice to fans by releasing two albums instead of just one.

"Sweat" and "Suit" are the follow-up albums to the 2002 "Nellyville," which produced hits such as "Hot in Herre" and "Air Force Ones."

"Sweat" is the upbeat club CD of the two. To make sure the people at the club say "E.I," Nelly enlisted the help of Murphy Lee, Christina Aguilera, St. Lunatics, Missy Elliot, Mobb Deep, Lil' Flip and Big Gipp.

In fact, Nelly only sang three songs on the album by himself, making the CD feel more like a various compilation disc rather than a Nelly CD.

But, the CD does have its perks. Mainly, the song "Tilt Ya Head Back" with pop singer Aguilera and the song "American Dream" featuring the St. Lunatics.

And what is Nelly's fascination with birds? Nelly had everybody "Shakin' their Tailfeather" on the Bad Boys II soundtrack, and now he's got people flapping their wings on track three while "getting their eagle" on.

This CD is still one of the hottest albums to be released in 2004. The variety of artists expressed on the disc appeals to all genres.

Filled with hot dance tracks it is sure to cause a "Sweat."
