Union Board to show 'Radio' in Tolliver Tuesday evening

Union Board will show the movie "Radio" at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Tolliver Hall.

The movie is free for all Tech students.

"Radio" stars Cuba Gooding, Jr., who plays a developmentally challenged man who teaches new values to a high school football coach.

The movie has a PG rating.

Union Board shows free movies throughout the year.

Student Health Center to offer flu shots to students for $10 fee

Flu shots are available from 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Student Health Center, located in South Hall next to the Tech Police Department.

Shots are $10 each, and students can pay with cash or check. Students are encouraged to come before the flu season, which begins in November.

This service is for students only, and no physical identification is required because each student is logged in the central computer with their student ID number.

Professor to host honors party at home Monday at 6 p.m.

The honors program will host a party to encourage students to meet their classmates and professors from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Dr. Donald Kaczvinsky's house, located at 1016 Wedgewood Drive.

Students enrolled or interested in joining the honors program are welcome.No student ID or entrance fee is necessary.

Red beans and rice, ham and other home-cooked dishes will be served.

Students who attend are encouraged to meet their professors and ask questions about upcoming classes.

Baseball Belles hold meeting for interested individuals

The Baseball Belles is having an informational meeting at 7:30 tonight at J.C. Love baseball field.

The Belles is a baseball support group that aids the team in any activities by selling gift items at games and making spirit bags for players.

The team needs as many females as possible to help out during the season. Any female students interested in baseball and who would like to be involved with the Belles, are encouraged to attend the meeting.

Production to begin Oct. 27 for 'A Man of all Seasons'

"A Man of all Seasons" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 through 30 and Nov. 3 through 6 in Arthur W. Stone Theatre, located on the west wing of Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for children and $4 for students with a valid Tech ID.

"A Man for all Seasons" tells the compelling story of the Reformation as King Henry VIII seeks to divorce his queen in order to marry his mistress.

Student Government to hold Homecoming Kickoff Monday

The Student Government Association is having a Homecoming Kickoff at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Tolliver Hall staging area. This kickoff is similar to a pep rally.

The homecoming court will be announced. The Band of Pride, both cheerleading squads and the Pom Pon squad will perform. Free food will be served, and attendance is free.

If it rains, the kickoff will be held in the Student Center, Main Floor.

International Students to host movie night at 8 p.m. Saturday

The International Student Organization will hold a movie night at 8 p.m. Oct. 16 in Tolliver Hall.

The ISO provides assistance to international students to help them adjust to new environments.

Admission is free.

The movie's title is still to be announced.

No refreshments will be served.
