Jimmy Fallon followed in the footsteps of his "Saturday Night Live" buddies and tried his hand at the big screen.

With the help of super-woman Queen Latifah and super-model Gisele Bundchen, Fallon did so a little more gracefully than some of the previous Saturday-Night-Live crew.

In "Taxi", Fallon plays the oh-so-clumsy police officer/momma's boy, Andy Washburn. While trying hard to impress his lieutenant, Washburn gets caught up in a string of bank robberies (headed by Bundchen, with three other beautiful women) and tangles hard-core taxi driver, Belle (Latifah) up in it as well. Through their time spent together fighting bad guys, Washburn helps Belle with boyfriend troubles, and Belle teaches Washburn to drive. Aww.

While the unrealistic attempts at high-action sequences may make the viewer re-evaluate the money spent on tickets, Latifah and Fallon have a comedic chemistry that makes the movie worth-while. The movie is overflowing with these action sequences where Belle's Fast and Furious-worthy Crown Victoria taxi cab (uh-huh) is madly racing down the crowded streets of New York against Vanessa's (Bundchen) pretty little BMW.

With only a small handful of truly laugh-out-loud moments, the movie does at least ensure a fixed smile. Especially when, true to his SNL style, you can accidentally see Fallon break character. Queen Latifah does her share of keeping the movie afloat with her witty comebacks and feisty attitude.

Washburn's alcoholic, margarita-loving mother, played by Ann-Margaret, makes those of us with embarrassing parents laugh in a sympathetic way.

Overall, the movie itself was not great, but I (along with most people) have developed such a soft spot for Fallon that it made the movie enjoyable. Although "Weekend Update" will never be the same without him, hopefully more Fallon comedies await.

If you want to feel like you really got your money's worth, go see another movie. But, if you are tired of replaying your "Corky Romano" and "Zoolander" DVDs, go check this movie out.

Fallon's debut in the big screen was a little bit disappointing, but I think with time -- and more hot girls -- Fallon's future on the big screen looks promising.
