"Scary Movie" and "Scary Movie 2" took their humor from the entire history of horror clichˇs, but "Scary Movie 3" is crafted mostly from bits of movies released in the past year, such as "Signs," "The Ring" and even the non-horror "8 Mile."

David Zucker, the man who brought us great comic classics such as "Airplane" and the "Naked Gun" series, has taken over as director, and neither of the Wayans brothers star in the movie.

This movie has humor that might appeal to some. Anyone who enjoyed the first two will find this one just as funny but a little less gruesome.

Even though the movie does keep the viewer laughing, the whole 78 minutes of it is not worth the ticket price. Most of the humor focuses on sex, violence and nudity.

But anyone who enjoys Zucker's style of comedy, do not despair because some of his slap-stick comedy shines through.

However, after seeing a guy get bashed in the head more than 10 times, you just stop laughing.

The movie begins with a reference to "The Ring" with the two teenage girls sitting in their room talking. But in this version the two girls are played by Pamela Anderson and Jenny McCarthy. And it seemed this scene was made just to show just how grotesque and plastic Anderson's boobs have gotten over time.

However, much of the film's other humor is hilarious. The part inspired by "Signs" where aliens are invading the earth is one of the hilarious moments. Most would probably argue that the aliens looked cheesy, but some might see this was a way to poke more fun at the original movie.

This movie does not boast the best special effects in the world, but the movie was made to make the viewers laugh, not scare or impress them.

The only part that is absolutely unfunny was anything having to do with the movie "8 Mile." Some could say this movie could deal without all the bad rapping. It seemed to steal material straight from "Malibu's Most Wanted."

This isn't a two thumbs ups kind of movie. People should not waste their hard-earned money on paying to see it in theaters.
