The Techsters were successful when they traveled to Lafayette to participate in the Pepsi Challenge at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette to close out the fall season.
The Techsters were led by senior Anabella Duque, who dominated the Flight B singles' bracket to advance to the finals.
Sophomore Monica Kelly and junior Avril Martinez also achieved success in singles play, and the doubles tandem of Duque and Katie Westbrook put forth a solid performance in the doubles division, giving Tech successful performances in each bracket.
Kelly was the star of the Flight A singles' bracket for the Techsters, advancing to the consolation quarterfinals match by defeating Arkansas State University's Marusa Pogacnik 7-4, 4-6, 10-1. Kelly then surrendered her shot at the semifinals to fellow Techster Holly Ready.

In doubles play, the spotlight shined on Tech again as the twosome of Duque and Westbrook advanced to the quarterfinals with a dynamic 8-1 victory of a Sam Houston doubles' team.
