Deadline for early fee payment approaches for spring quarter
Those who participate in early registration for spring quarter must complete Early Tuition/Fee Payment by 5 p.m. March 2 or their schedules will be purged.
Students receiving any financial aid must confirm their schedules and add that aid to their early registration expenses.
This can be done at the Cashier's Office in the basement of Keeny Hall, or by using the Account Summary/Payments menu option on the Bulldog Online Student System at http://boss.latech.edu.
Any students whose schedules are purged will have to re-register.

Quarter break to begin March 1; residence hall, cafeteria to close
The last day of classes for winter quarter is March 1.
Quarter break begins at the end of classes that day.
Residence halls will close at noon March 2. The cafeteria will close March 1 after the night meal.
Spring quarter starts March 8, and classes begin March 9, at 8 a.m.
Residence halls will re-open at 9 a.m. Monday, March 7.
The cafeteria will also open March 7 starting with the night meal.

Gene Krupa Orchestra to bring sounds of 30's-40's to Howard
The Louisiana Tech Concert Association will host a performance by the Gene Krupa Orchestra.
The concert will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight at Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.
The band recreates sounds of the 1930s and 1940s with a Frank Sinatra sound on some selections.
Tickets for adults are $15, tickets for children are $7 and tickets for students with a valid Tech ID are $3.
Tickets are for general admission seating.

Interested students are invited to financial aid seminar tonight
Student Financial Aid is hosting a series of seminars at 6 p.m. tonight, Feb. 22 and Feb. 24 in Davison Hall, Room 113B.
The seminars are designed to help students get an early start on applying for federal financial assistance for the 2005-06 school year.
Students will learn how to apply and be able to ask any financial aid questions they may have.
The seminars are open to current students, prospective students and their parents and interested members of the university and community.

Career Day to offer insight, possibilities for employment
The Career Center will hold its spring Career Day today in the Student Center, Main Floor, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students and alumni who plan to attend must be pre-registered at the Career Center in Keeny Hall, Room 337.
The Career Day is offered for students looking for full time, co-op or summer employment.
Those attending should dress professionally and bring copies of their resume for the participating employers.

Performing Arts brings Irish comedy to Stone Theatre stage
The School of Performing Arts will present "The Lonesome West" at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday.
These final performances will be held in Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.
This week's presentations mark the first time Martin McDonagh's Irish comedy has been performed on stage in Louisiana.
Dressy/casual is the suggested attire.
Tickets are on sale now in the Howard Auditorium box office.
Tickets are $4 for students with a Tech ID, $7 for children and $8 for adults.
All tickets will be available at the door.

Cycling Team seeks members; beginners welcome to join
Tech's Cycling Team is now looking for new members.
This organization is open to all students who may be interested in competing with other schools through cycling, swimming and running.
Everyone is welcome to join from beginners to weekend riders or those who race.
There is no membership fee and the purpose of this search for members is to build the club's membership base so that the organization can have more regularly scheduled events.
As of now, the members ride for fun and they participate in events to raise money for different charities and the organization itself.

Concert band to hold free show Tuesday in Howard Auditorium
The Band of Pride's Concert Band will hold its winter concert Tuesday.
The concert will be held in Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The ensemble will perform a medley of classic pieces.
Admission is free and the concert is open to all students as well as to the general public.
Dr. Gary Westbrook, associate director of bands, will be conducting the band. Casual dress is the most appropriate attire for the event.
