It's that time again.
Housing will begin taking reservations for the fall quarter.
For students residing in Tech's residence halls, reserving the same room begins April 18-22 for last names beginning with A-L and April 25-29 for last names beginning with M-Z.
Starting May 2, residents can begin reserving rooms not already taken. May 2-4 is reserved for students with 80 or more hours; May 4-6, residents with 60 or more hours; May 9-11, residents with 40 or more hours; May 11-13, residents with 39 or less hours.
Note that Caruthers residence hall will not be available for residency in the fall. Graham will be a male residence hall to take its place.
Hutcheson, the male private residence hall, will have double occupancy on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Harper, the women's private residence hall, will have double occupancy on the 3rd and 4th floors.
Students reserving a different room for the fall quarter should follow regular room change guidelines. Roommates need to be present together when applying.
University Park residents making a reservation for summer or fall quarter must make a prepayment of $100, and apartments must be reserved by April 29. U-Park residents should follow the same dates mentioned above for making room reservations.
"It is more efficient and beneficial for students with more seniority to decide where they want to be and who they want to room with," Melanie Peel, coordinator of room assignments for the department of housing, said of the improved process of making room reservations.
