The goal of Nick Judice, a senior mechanical engineering major, as president of the Student Government Association is to create a student government he said "is seen, heard and felt on all fronts around campus."

Judice said he plans to create an SGA that "is more open to ideas and always awaiting another idea from its governing body -- the students."

Judice said he would like to promote diversity and equality through a variety of efforts, including the creation of a female honors dorm, making campus more user-friendly for people with disabilities and promoting and developing minority groups through programming and workshops.

He wants to ensure administrative accountability and professor accessibility. Judice said he would "hold the administration accountable for the promises they make" and have professors maintain a Web site that is updated quarterly.

As president, Judice would create a more eco-friendly institution by reducing waste and recycling. He also would like to have a campus cleanup.

"Many buildings on campus need minor repairs or cleaning," Judice said.

"We will highlight these areas and work to help make the campus cleaner and improve its image on all levels."

Judice's extracurricular activities include co-director of student services for SGA and president of the Louisiana Tech Cycling Team.
