Annual Special Olympics succeed despite low funds
The Jim Mize Track and Field Complex was the place to be April 22, participating in or helping out with the 15th annual North Central District Track and Field Meet, also known as the Special Olympics.

The seven-bedroom white house at 501 W. Mississippi Ave. was well-known, and seven Tech seniors called it home before last Tuesday morning. Thousands of dollars in personal effects, photographic equipment and other school supplies were claimed by the fire. No cause has been found. | |
Fire fells historic Ruston home, leaves seven students homeless
Seven female Tech students awoke early the morning of April 19 to the sights and smells of fire and smoke, and sounds of screams from the other residents fleeing the flames that started on the back porch of their house.
