his is the least I can do for you.

Remember when you attached a poem to a rock and threw it up on my balcony in Kidd? Remember how you told me all your secrets?

Do you recall the time we went to Florida and you called me sarcastic for the first time to which I replied, "You need to stop taking everything I say so seriously, weenie."

Remember when you told me you loved me for the first time, and I kept asking you to say it again because it gave me chill bumps?

Remember when you got mad because I didn't say it back to you for a few months because I was scared?

Remember when I taped love quotations all over your wall and spelled out "I love you," in candy canes after our first big fight?

Remember how we used to wait for each other after class?

What about that picture of you and me sleeping on the floor in my brother's apartment in Memphis?

Remember our Wednesday nights at Stow's? You were always the winner of the pool tournament to me.

Do you remember the first night we danced at Rabb's? My feet do (just kidding).

What about all the dinners you cooked me? All the movies we snuck into in Monroe. The license plate you made for me?

Remember the platform on the pier in Gulf Shores? What about that night on the beach?

What about the time that guy at the Flora-Bama saw us dancing and said, "Y'all must be in love."

Or that time in New Orleans when that guy saw us sitting on the sidewalk and said, "Y'all look alike. Y'all must be meant for each other."

What about the time we went to your great aunt's property and painted on that canvas you brought and listened to music from your car stereo? My suitemates were so jealous.

Remember Carlsbad Caverns, Voodoo Fest, Mardi Gras, camping in Lincoln Parish Park, throwing the frisbee, our late-night walks through the empty streets of Ruston and, of course, cookies.

Do you recall the garage sale that we made $500 on while spending all day under the hot, Louisiana sun? That pizza and beer felt great afterward.

What about the time I fainted after your tonsil surgery because you looked so bad? I felt your pain.

Do you recall Enchanted Rock? The birthday underwear? The Spanish phrase in felt letters? Locking the keys in the truck in Fredericksburg (I still say that was all your fault)?

What about "borrowing" from hotel ice machines for our ice chest because we were broke? Or "visiting" other hotels that had complimentary breakfasts because the one we were staying at was cheap?

Remember all the pictures, poems and letters?

Do you remember the speech I made at your graduation dinner?

Do you recall packing up for Austin?

Remember when I messed up? Remember when you messed up?

Remember when we broke each others' hearts?

Remember the I'm sorries, the I miss yous, the I wishes, the I hopes and the plain ol' I don't knows?

Remember when you told me you'd rather have bad times with me than good times with someone else? Remember when we swore we would never give up on each other?
