Switchfoot concert tickets available in Tolliver and online
Union Board will present Switchfoot, with special guest Ingram Hill, at 7 p.m. April 28 in the Thomas Assembly Center, located at 1650 W. Alabama St.
Ticket sales began April 1 at the Tolliver Information Desk in Tolliver Hall and will continue until the show is sold out.
Tickets may also be purchased at the Union Board office, located at the back of Tolliver Hall, Room 214-215, or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com.
Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for non-students.

SGA organizational grant forms due back in office by April 26
Organization grant applications are now available from the Student Government Association.
If approved, the grant can be used for any project that will benefit a university-recognized student organization or the campus community.
The deadline to have the completed application turned in is April 26.
The SGA will meet to discuss applications May 10.
Applications can be picked up at the SGA office located in Tolliver Hall, Room 211-212.

SGA election ends at 3 p.m.; vote in Tolliver or online today
Today is the last day to vote in the Student Government Association spring primary elections.
The elections are for all senate and executive positions.
Voters can cast their ballots at 3 p.m.. today in Tolliver Hall.
For students who cannot make it to Tolliver to vote, voting will be available until 3 p.m. today online at http://www.latechsga.edu.
The results will be announced between 3:30 and 4 p.m. today.

Tau Beta Pi to host semi-formal event tomorrow evening
Tau Beta Pi will sponsor the 5th annual Engineer's Ball from 7 to 10 p.m. tomorrow in the Student Center, Main Floor.
The ball is open to all Tech students, faculty, staff and their guests. The theme for the ball is "Red Carpet and Oscar."
The cost to attend the ball is $10 per person or $15 per couple.
Dress is semi-formal.
Music and refreshments will be served at the ball.
Also, nominations will be made for the Engineer's Ball Court.

BCM to take mission trip May 21; forms, deposit due April 15
The Baptist Collegiate Ministries will take a mission trip May 21-28 to Philadelphia.
Students can fill out applications and turn in a $100 deposit at the BCM, located at 419 W. Arizona Street.
Applications and full payment of $350, which covers airfare from Monroe to Baltimore, are due by April 15.
Nate Young, an associate director of the BCM, and 14 others will do "prayer walking", scouting, minor construction, servant evangelism, block parties, collegiate ministry and more.

Musical trio to perform Tuesday in Howard for LTCA event
The Louisiana Tech Concert Association will present "Hesperus-Spain in the New World" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Howard Auditorium, Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert will be given by a trio playing recorders, flutes, a viola, whistles and percussion.
The music will feature a mixture of sounds from European, African-American and Native-American influences.
Tickets are $3 for students with a valid Tech ID, $15 for adults and $7 for children. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Howard Auditorium box office.
Dressy-casual attire should be worn.

Cheerleading tryouts to be held May 5-7; applications available
Tech is adding an all-girl cheerleading squad to its spirit support ranks.
Tryouts will be held May 5-7.
All female students are encouraged to pick up applications now at the Maxie Lambright Intramural Sports Center on Tech Drive, Tolliver Hall, located next to the Student Center, or online at http://www.latech.edu/tech/students/SpiritGroups/.
A $25 application fee, a recent picture and proof of health insurance are required.

Phi Mu to host dodge ball event in RHS gymnasium tomorrow
Phi Mu Alpha will hold a dodge ball tournament tomorrow at the Bobby James Gymnasium, next to Ruston High School and across from the high school tennis courts.
Teams interested in participating must have five people and are advised to arrive promptly at 5 p.m. to sign up.
The cost is $10 per person. Faculty members play for free.
Brackets will be organized at sign-up according to the number of teams. Rules and a demonstration will be given at 5:15 p.m.
A first-place cash prize will be awarded to the winners, and the amount will be determined by the number of teams in the tournament.
