The Office of Economic Development and Technology Assessment is a combined technology transfer and industrial liaison office at Tech. This office manages patents and other intellectual properties for the university and provides assistance to firms and individuals seeking research or licensing assistance. Developmental research in cooperation with government and industry is a natural conduit for technology to be transferred. Such work is part of the mission of many of Tech’s applied research and engineering centers. You are encouraged to contact any of those centers directly or click here for additional assistance. Tech also operates a Technology Transfer Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, located convenient to the Shreveport Regional Airport, where technologies can be showcased and groups can assemble to discuss technology issues.
