Harry Howard received the first degree from Industrial Institute and College of Louisiana (Louisiana Tech University) in May of 1897.  Harry Howard did advanced work at Eastman Business College in Poughkeepsie, New York and returned to be head of Business.

Howard directed the Business Department for over twenty-five years and served as college Treasurer.
