Policy:

This policy outlines the University procedures for the pay cycles for all types of employees at Louisiana Tech University.

Procedures:

The following employee types are paid on a bi-weekly pay cycle:

Unclassified Staff
Academic Administrators
Graduate Students
Undergraduate Students
Classified Employees

The following employee types are paid on a monthly pay cycle:

Nine-Month Faculty
Adjunct Instructors

Faculty Employed on a Nine-Month Appointment:

Faculty employed for the nine-month academic year will receive one-ninth of the total appointment beginning in September and ending in May of the academic year. Nine-month faculty may elect to participate in a twelve-month pay plan to receive their nine-month salary over a full twelve months. For more information concerning the twelve-month pay option, contact the Payroll Office on the 1st floor of Keeny Hall.

Unclassified Employees on a Twelve-Month Appointment:

Twelve-month faculty and unclassified staff are paid biweekly in twenty-six equal installments on alternate Fridays.

Faculty and staff member checks written on the monthly or bi-weekly payrolls are required by the University to be electronically deposited with financial institutions. Checks for graduate students who have assistantships are paid on the bi-weekly payroll; however, electronic deposit is not mandatory for these employees. Faculty and staff members should submit any changes to their electronic deposit authorizations in Workday.
