Dear students, faculty, and staff,
Good Wednesday morning.
Thank you all for the strong turnout we’ve had in the past two weeks for our testing initiative with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Louisiana Department of Health, and the Louisiana National Guard.
We are so pleased that our partners have determined that they will continue to engage in testing on our campus through Friday, Oct. 2. The group will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday at the Argent Pavilion. Remember to register online at https://www.doineedacovid19test.com/Ruston_LA_1462.html and print your testing voucher to speed the process along. Please get tested whether you have symptoms or not!
Complete the Census
Our nation is currently in the middle of a Census data collection period. The 2020 Census determines congressional representation, helps determine where hundreds of billions in federal funding go every year, and provides data that impacts communities for the next decade. Your participation is vitally important!
Completing the census is important for all our students, faculty, and staff. It’s critically important that Louisiana have a strong response to insure a proper share of federal dollars for the next decade. Find out more about the 2020 Census at 2020census.gov.
Louisiana Tech faculty and staff will have the opportunity to enroll in benefits plans beginning Oct. 1. The open enrollment period will end Nov. 15.
Information on plan offerings and how to enroll will be sent from Corestream, our benefits provider, via your Louisiana Tech email accounts.
We’re now in a very busy time for our University. Remember to stay the course and continue to wear your masks and practice physical distancing. We can all do our part to keep our community healthy and safe, and I’m proud of the work everyone has done toward that goal so far this quarter.
