Thank you for your help with the contact tracing process. Our Student Resource Team continues to work with our students, faculty, and staff to slow the spread of the virus on our campus.
When a student shows COVID-19 symptoms, receives positive test results, or has direct contact with someone who has tested positive, they should email Stacy Gilbert at email@example.com. Students should provide their name, campus ID, cell phone, whether they live on or off campus, and best method to contact them.
When a student self-reports, they will be assigned to a member of the SRT, who works with them to contact their professors and their on-campus employers. For students who live on campus, we also ensure access to safe housing, meals, and other needed resources.
Depending on whether the student has tested positive or is a direct contact of someone who has tested positive, that student will isolate or quarantine for up to 14 days. The student will email each of their professors – copying their SRT member – to ensure they can continue to make academic progress.
When the student is cleared to return to campus and class, the student should complete the Return to Campus form and email it to each of their professors, copying their SRT member. The team member will verify the student is cleared to return to campus.
Our contact tracing process is working to slow the spread of COVID-19 on campus. Thank you all for playing your part in keeping our campus community safe and healthy. Please contact Stacy Gilbert (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions you may have.
Last week I sent the first in a series of updates regarding the upcoming transition to the Workday ERP system. In January 2021, the University will transform business processes across our campus as we as go live with the Human Resources, Payroll, and Financial Management components.
Please take a couple of minutes this week to view this video for a sneak peek at navigating Workday and utilizing its applications.
Specific training information will be released in the coming weeks. As mentioned in the video, a dedicated Moodle space, detailed PDF materials, and additional helpful videos will be available to supplement the live training sessions offered to employees.
Be on the lookout for regular communications as our campus prepares for this exciting transition that will impact all employees.
Go Dogs! Loyal Blue Friday!
I hope you all join me in watching our Bulldogs take on BYU at 8 tonight on ESPN2. Please take time to relax this weekend and remember to be safe.
