CARES Act reporting
Last week, Louisiana Tech released its latest report on the use of CARES Act funding, specifically the funds distributed as a part of the Emergency Federal Aid Grants to students.
Since April, we have distributed just over $3 million to students. As the Fall 2020 Quarter grant application period closed, we had about $500,000 remaining to distribute, and those funds will be deposited for students who applied and met the fall CARES Act Grant requirements soon.
Louisiana Tech has disbursed funds to 4,508 students of the 7,373 students eligible to participate.
The staff members in our Office of Financial Aid and Division of Finance have gone above and beyond to ensure our students apply for and receive their share of the CARES Act funds. Thanks to them, our students have and will continue to receive the assistance they need to continue pursuing their academic goals.
Stay safe and healthy, Bulldogs. I enjoy seeing you on campus and thank you for continuing to wear your masks and maintaining physical distance.
