Dear campus community,
Good Monday morning.
Remember that academic advising for the Winter 2020 Quarter begins today. Make an appointment to secure your schedule for the next quarter soon.
This week, we will continue to offer free COVID-19 testing. The Louisiana Army National Guard will conduct screening tests from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Argent Alumni Pavilion. Registering ahead of time will help speed things along. Register online at https://www.doineedacovid19test.com/Ruston_LA_1462.html and print your testing voucher ahead of time. And get your Flu shot, too!
Student organization guidelines
In light of the gathering adjustments within the state, our Division of Student Affairs has changed Louisiana Tech’s protocols for student organizations.
Please be mindful that an increase in COVID-19 positive cases would likely result in returning to more strict protocols. Organizations that violate these protocols could be subject to meeting with the Student Organization’s Committee.
Please remember these requirements are in place to help our campus community stay healthy and safe. You can review the updated protocols online.
Benefits open enrollment continues
Open enrollment for Louisiana Tech benefits will continue through Nov. 15.
You can review your current health insurance coverage by logging onto the OGB Open Enrollment portal at https://annualenrollment.groupbenefits.org/. If you do not need to make changes, you don’t have to adjust your health insurance benefit, and your 2020 elections will roll over into 2021. Be sure to update your coverage if you need to add or drop dependents, waive prior coverage, or add coverage by making an appointment with Lauryn Brooks or Taryn Soignier in Human Resources (318.257.2235). You can also enroll in FSA via the OGB Annual Enrollment portal.
Voluntary benefits like dental, vision, critical illness, life, and other supplemental insurance coverage are set to expire on Dec. 31. To continue in these plans – or add new ones – for 2021, you will need to enroll through our new benefit portal, Corestream (corestream.latech.edu). You will be directed to the Central Authentication Service (CAS) where you will log on using your Louisiana Tech username and password.
Wear your masks and continue to practice physical distancing to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Have a great week, Bulldogs!
