Dear campus community,
Good Thursday morning.
Best wishes as you finish exams and projects for the Fall Quarter! As you head back home over the holidays, please do not let your guard down in fighting the spread of COVID-19. This coronavirus does not distinguish between family, friends and acquaintances.
Let Us Dream
Since its inception, Louisiana Tech has played a role in the Let Us Dream conference, an opportunity to network, explore, and share the many and varied community-service possibilities and intervention models, as well as volunteer opportunities for all generations.
The event will give attendees insight into health, education, social service and social entrepreneurship, allow them to connect with the international community, and help bridge the gap between research and real-world application.
I’d like to invite students, faculty, and staff to register for the Let Us Dream conference to be held online Nov. 20-22. The event is free, and you can register online at https://forms.gle/MYS5DoARzYUbAEYLA.
Free COVID-19 Tests (Do this before heading home!)
Remember the opportunities for free COVID-19 testing available on our campus. Students, faculty, and staff can get free antigen testing at Green Clinic’s TechCare location at the Lambright Wellness Center. With this test, results will be available in 30 minutes.
You should schedule your free test through TechCare’s online scheduling system at: https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
The clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted until 3:45 p.m.
Our Louisiana Army National Guard testing site continues its operations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Argent Alumni Pavilion. The link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU.
Remember to continue your good health and safety practices as we wind down the quarter and while you are at home on quarter break. Keep both your communities safe as we enter the holidays!
