Dear campus community,
Good Tuesday morning.
This past weekend, we celebrated the achievements of graduates from our spring, summer, and fall quarters. I thank the Marshals, Registrar’s office, and numerous other administrators, faculty and staff who worked diligently to create a happy and safe atmosphere for our graduates to commemorate their educational journeys with their families and friends.
The ceremonies were special for all who attended, and I appreciate those faculty members who attended in person or viewed the livestream on Facebook to honor their students. Your presence, whether it was in the Thomas Assembly Center or online, meant a lot to our newest graduates.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving and the quarter break, please remember to continue to practice the safety measures that will help keep our family and friends healthy. Wear your mask, wash your hands, and practice physical distancing. I know these things are hard to do when we see friends and family, but your actions will help curb the spread of COVID-19.
Testing at the Argent Alumni Pavilion will continue today and tomorrow of this week. The site is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU.
After their own Thanksgiving break, the Louisiana Army National Guard will return to the pavilion next Monday.
Free antigen testing will also continue at Green Clinic’s TechCare location at the Lambright Wellness Center. With this test, results will be available in 30 minutes.
The clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted until 3:45 p.m. You should schedule your free test through TechCare’s online scheduling system at: https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
