Dear students, faculty, and staff,
Good Wednesday morning.
Welcome to the first day of class for Winter 2020-21. I hope you are rested and ready to start another productive quarter.
Here’s a shout-out to our Associate Deans in each of our colleges who have been working collaboratively and tirelessly to ensure our students have the greatest opportunities for success!
As we begin classes, labs, and studio experiences, please remember the patience we had for our friends and colleagues during the fall quarter. This term will require giving more grace to all students, faculty, and staff, and I know everyone is capable of doing just that.
From feedback during the last quarter, we know our students and employees appreciate the opportunity to see one another in person. Our campus culture values relating to one another and shared experiences. We’ll work to continue offering safe co-curricular and extracurricular activities to support our in-class experiences.
This quarter, we’ll offer a mix of classes, just like in the fall. Whether you’re in an in-person, hybrid, or online class, remember our health and safety guidelines. We expect our campus community members to wear masks and maintain appropriate physical distancing.
Finally, I encourage everyone to take advantage of the free testing opportunities right here on campus.
Free PCR testing at the Argent Alumni Pavilion will continue this week. The site is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU. Results have been available in two to three days from this test.
Free antigen testing will also continue at Green Clinic’s TechCare location at the Lambright Wellness Center. With this test, results will be available in 30 minutes.
The clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed for lunch from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted until 3:45 p.m. You should schedule your free test through TechCare’s online scheduling system at: https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
Have a great first day of class, Bulldogs! I look forward to seeing you all around campus this week.
