Dear campus community,
Good Monday morning.
As a reminder, today we will conduct the morning’s classes virtually. Classes that begin at 1 p.m. or after will be held in person (or as scheduled at the beginning of the quarter).
Though many of our roads are free of snow and ice, some of our rural roads and campus still have patchy ice. Please use caution walking on campus and while driving. De-icing materials are being placed on walkways and bridges as necessary.
If students are unable to drive to campus safely, they should immediately contact their professors to make arrangements for accommodations. We are very close to the end of the quarter, so we are unable to cancel classes.
If employees are unable to come into work safely or need to stay home because their children’s classes are canceled, please communicate with your supervisor. Special leave will be given in these instances.
As a reminder, we are currently accepting applications for the CRRSAA Grants on AcademicWorks. The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Grant, similar to the CARES Act funding administered previously, is designed provide financial assistance for expenses for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that are related to COVID-19, such as but not limited to tuition, food, housing, health care, mental health care, or child care.
Students who meet the basic criteria have received an email notification from the Office of Financial Aid with additional information on the CRRSAA Grant and they will be able to see the application as a recommended opportunity in Academic Works when they log in.
You can review the full information, how to apply, and FAQs at latech.edu/CRRSAA. If you still have questions, you may contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information on the CRRSAA Grant Application. Students must submit their CRRSAA Grant Application for the Winter Quarter no later than the close of business Feb. 24.
Continue to keep your guard up in the fight against COVID-19. As everyone returns to campus from being with family and friends, it is important to take time to make your regular testing appointment. Testing at the Argent Alumni Pavilion will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. The link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU.
Free antigen testing will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday at TechCare. Schedule your free test at https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
Best wishes in your sprint to the end of the Winter Quarter. Keep focused on doing your very best!
