Dear students, faculty, and staff,
Good Monday morning.
I am wishing you all the best as we wrap up these final days of the Winter Quarter. I am optimistic about us having a great Spring Quarter.
If you haven’t completed registration for the Spring Quarter, be sure to take care of that before traveling home for the quarter break. Also remember that Wednesday is our first purge date; be sure to work with Financial Aid (TechAid@latech.edu) if you need information about our tuition payment plan. We anticipate making additional CRRSAA Grants available this Spring to those students who are eligible. I will provide updates on that later.
There’s one more thing you might want to take care of before traveling for quarter break – get a free COVID-19 test. Knowing whether or not you have COVID-19 can help you make responsible decisions to protect your two communities.
Remember that testing at the Argent Alumni Pavilion will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. The link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU.
Free antigen testing continues from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday at TechCare. Schedule your free test at https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
Thank you to all our students, faculty, and staff who, when contacted about their qualification in this round of vaccinations, responded to the survey. I am thankful that Gov. Edwards placed higher education faculty and staff in the next phase for vaccinations, and I am hopeful we’ll soon be able to share good news about vaccination availability with more of our faculty and staff.
Remember to continue to wear your masks and practicing physical distancing as we continue to fight the spread of COVID-19. Finish Winter Quarter strong, and thank you all for continuing to work hard to keep our campus community healthy and safe.
