Dear students, faculty, and staff
Good Monday morning.
Throughout April, Louisiana Tech University will participate in the Student Satisfaction Inventory, a student survey conducted by Ruffalo Noel Levitz designed to gauge student opinion on what is working and not working at our University.
Responses to the survey are anonymous and will never be associated with any student records. The survey will open Thursday, April 1, and close April 30. Students will receive several emails to remind you all to participate in the survey.
I encourage all students to complete the survey. Your feedback will help us determine priorities for the future of Louisiana Tech, and we value your input.
Beginning today, everyone over the age of 18 (16 with the Pfizer vaccine) is able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the state of Louisiana. I encourage everyone to review the Vaccine Locations list on the Louisiana Department of Health’s website (https://ldh.la.gov/covidvaccine-locations/) for information on scheduling an appointment.
Testing times change
The Louisiana Army National Guard has adjusted its free testing schedule at the Argent Alumni Pavilion. Testing will now be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The link to register for testing is http://health.questdiagnostics.com/STLOU.
Free antigen testing continues from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday at TechCare. Schedule your free test at https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book.
Congratulations to our Louisiana Tech Bulldog Basketball Team. They finished the NIT with their win in the game Sunday that clinched 3rd place in a very tough field. I’m proud of our Dunkin’ Dogs and their hard work! If you see one of them or Coach Konkol today, I hope you’ll offer them your congrats!
As we progress through this quarter, remember to continue our good health and safety practices. Wear your masks and practice physical distancing. Have a great week, Tech Family!
