Dear campus community,
Good Friday morning. Students, PLEASE read below. If you are eligible, and don’t apply, those available funds will be distributed to other eligible students!
We’ve had nearly 2,000 students apply for CRRSAA Grants for Spring Quarter. As a reminder, we’ll accept applications on AcademicWorks until midnight tonight.
Disbursements for the Spring Quarter funds will not begin until April 19.
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Grant, similar to the CARES Act funding administered previously, is designed provide financial assistance for expenses for any component of a student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that are related to COVID-19, such as, but not limited to, tuition, food, housing, health care, mental health care, or child care.
Students who meet the basic criteria have already received an email notification from the Office of Financial Aid with additional information on the CRRSAA Grant, and they will be able to see the application as a recommended opportunity in Academic Works when they log in.
You can review the full information, how to apply, and FAQs at latech.edu/CRRSAA. If you still have questions, you may contact CaresActGrant@latech.edu for information on the CRRSAA Grant Application.
If you are eligible, please take the time to complete your application today.
We still have a few appointments left for the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccination at TechCare. Those interested in scheduling an appointment should visit https://gctechcare.simplybook.me/v2/#book, then select COVID-19 Vaccination.
If you are unable to schedule a vaccination on campus, I encourage everyone to review the Vaccine Locations list on the Louisiana Department of Health’s website (https://ldh.la.gov/covidvaccine-locations/) for information on scheduling an appointment.
Have a great weekend, Bulldogs! Remember to continue to wear your masks and maintain appropriate distance as more of us get vaccinated.
